Why take offense?

I think it's funny how many people are taking offense to how the Polish family was portrayed in this movie. I am half Polish and I don't take this movie to represent how all Polish people are, it's just how that one family happens to be.

reply

First of all: it is hard to call that family Polish.

reply

First of all: The film is crap. Too bad for actors like Byrne and Olin to be in that.

reply

It makes me laugh to hear someone say "first of all," when they apparently only have one thing to say.

"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?"

reply

I probably indented to write more, but I forgot it.

reply

Fair enough :)

"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?"

It's not crap, it's a pleasant drama. If watching a drama is all about accents for you, uh, okay, but it's pleasant.

reply

I agree. I'll give the movie credit for portraying these people as flawed creatures, no matter what their ethnicity. If all the characters were upright and full of moral fiber, then it would be a phony, cowardly and arguably, really boring movie.
