who actually said she was too dark? I'm darker than Lena, with hazel-green eyes, deep brown hair and sallow skin, and the most 'Polish' person in my family. Crazy people!

'This is an old thread and a movie that is not a "hot topic" but in response to the "too dark to be a Pole", you are wrong. Slavic people are dark. I am blonde with blue eyes Pole-American but as a baby I was born with black hair and dark brown eyes and dark skin covered with dark fuzz on my body. My mother screamed, "This is not my baby!" and the nurses assured her that I was. My hair and eyes lightened as I grew older and my mother always told me that I was taken from the gypsies and given to her and that if I was bad I would be given back!'
