Does anyone else know of another movie with this same story, about two girls claiming the existence of fairies, I swear there is one but just cannot remember what it is called!

Nevermind, I answered my own question - it is called 'FairyTale: A True Story', it came out the same year as this one. You should IMDB it, it is about the same girls!

It's not about the same girls. This film, has a scene where Castle is at the same conference as Conan Doyle, and disputes Conan Doyle's "evidence" of the existence of fairies as "proven" by the famed photo of the Cottingsley Fairies. "Fairy Tale: A True Story" is about this photo-the Cottingsley photo, and the girls who supposedly saw and photographed these fairies in their garden. Back in the 1980's the surviving sister finally admitted to manufacturing the photos by using fairy pictures cut from a ladies' magazine.

Why? Because one is about a certain incident and the other makes mention of it? That's not a strong basis for saying they are the same or even very similar.

A minor correction: the eldest girl, Elsie, drew the pictures by hand, although she based them on pictures from Princess Mary’s Gift Book.
