Reminds me of Silent Hill
Some Scenes, like that with the giant moth, really reminded me of the first Silent Hill game.

I believe in the first Silent Hill, there is a Koontz St. or something along those lines.
shareI totally agree with the Silent Hill comparison. The scene where they find the dead body and the camera angles going throught that house really reminded me of Silent Hill. I loved the first half of the movie, but the ending makes baby Jesus Cry.
shareLast night, I dug this movie out of my old extensive LaserDisc collection. I had been thinking about it for a while, and wanted to see it again. For the life of me, I could not remember the name of this film but only referred to it as "Silent Hill- The Movie".
The first time I ever saw this I made the Silent Hill comparison. Especially with the cops running around, and the sirens. All they really needed was a radio to keep the tension up whenever the Foe was around (radio in Silent Hill was very creepy!)
Overall, I liked Phantoms, but I think Silent Hill was creepier. :)

some parts of the film reminded me of that 80s movie The Thing.
shareThat's because the novel that this film is based upon was a primary influence on Silent Hill (1999 VG), as was the film "Jacob's Ladder."
