witch one was first phantoms or silent hill

if you really take a good look to the story you can see that this movie have the plot of the videogame `silent hill` ,so who copy who?

Phantoms is based on the book by Dean Koontz, which was written many years before playstation was even around.

It's possible that Konami (Who made Silent Hill) borrowed some inspiration from Koontz's book, but that's probably as far as it goes.

if i'm correct the designers even mentioned phantoms being one source of inspiration (at least for the moth thing) on one the making of dvds about sh2

Anybody notice that the Silent Hill 2 map actually has a Koontz Street? ;-)

I think Silent Hill one has that street too, and SH1 had a similar mood to it.

the first game references it with the text "Leonard Rhine - the monster lurks" written in blood in one of the bathrooms at the school

plus they are kinda similar what with the eerily abandoned towns and all....
