This was quite bad. The newer version with Butler was good, I highly recommend it.

You know, I thought that one was good as well until I saw the 25th Anniversary performance at Royal Albert Hall. It's available on Netflix and I would highly recommend it. It puts the one with Gerard Butler to shame.

The Lon Chaney 1925 film is the only other one worth watching. There are some pretty poor adaptations out there and the god-awful Lloyd Webber ones take the cake for being the absolute worst!
