i find if ironic that Yelba Osorio(Malaria) plays a character Pest can't stand. Yelba was John's ex wife. they got a divorce in '96. i just found that to be funny that the person in the movie he hates w/ a passion is played by his ex wife...

Haha, this was a year later. No, I didn't know that, thanks for informing me.
Pest says one of my favorite lines in any movie to her: "Ah no, Malaria, your fat butt makes you look fat!" It sounded pretty mean, too. Now I know the truth behind that line.
I thought it was funny at the end when Gustav has all of his family taken hostage & The Pest says to him "I'll be there, but if for any reason I'm late, could you start with Malaria?" HAHA!!!
Really mean I know, but it might just be playful banter between the two of them. I really don't think she would have been cast with him in the film if they really hated each others guts.
