The reason people hate on this film

I think the reason people hate on this film so much is that it's too quick for them. By this I mean that the film moves so fast and Leguizamo's performance is so frenetic that they missed most of the jokes and so therefore dismiss the film as not funny. This is actually a very well written film with some hilarious humor (mostly racial albeit) but I think the fact that the film never takes a moment to breathe or even establish itself caused most of the jokes to go over people's heads. I first saw this film when I was probably 12 and have seen it dozens of times since then and literally every time I catch or understand a new joke. This to me is a great comedy because it's consistently funny every time I see it. Not to mention Leguizamo is just plain fun to watch and is at his wacky, high energy, improvisational best here.

That's who you remind me of, an evil Mr. Rogers

You can find your type of post of every single movie on IMDb...people don't like the movie, because they didn't "get it".

You couldn't be more wrong...you were right that it's a frenetic hot mess that tried to take advantage of Leguizamo's talents, but no jokes were "missed"... at the end of the day, they just weren't funny.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

"useless hating something isnt going to change anything so why bother?"

Because one man's "useless hating", is another man's "providing valid opinion" of something they didn't like...and if they actually provide cogent examples rather than the regular "it sucked", then those posts can be as equally valid as someone who writes the most flowery post as to why they love a movie.
