Am I the only one who liked this movie?

I'll admit the plot and even the acting isn't that great, but John Leguizamo alone makes it worth watching. Anyone who loves funny one-liners and crazy stories should enjoy this movie.

I loved this movie. I don't know why, but it cracked me up throughout the entire thing. Leguizamo is hilarious. I am having trouble finding somewhere to get this though, as Blockbuster doesn't rent it, and most stores I've checked don't sell it. Oh well, I'll probably just order it from the net.

Hell Yeah this movie is GOOD, when I first saw it it was like 3 in the morning and it ruled, I agree it aint exactly the best script and acting but it's a good fun movie that I would definately watch again if it were to be shown!...Peace

Any TRUE fan of "The Pest" knows all the words to "Voodoo Mambo." I love singing it in the shower and trying to recreate the opening scene/credits.

Say, do any of you know the Madison?

Dear all and George Brent, :)

Damn right I love this movie! It's rare that I find a movie that my whole FAMILY loves! So that just gives it more pluses. Yes, Leguizamo makes lots of racial jokes/slurs, but he even makes fun of his OWN race, which is very cute 'n' funny and should be taken lightheartedly. :) It seems like he adlibs almost the whole way through the movie, which is even better. And the gay jokes/innuendo just make me smile more and more. LOL Granted, the acting may be off in places (Geoffrey Jones is hard to envision as a german!), but hey, some movies are too stupid NOT to miss. LOL

This movie is great and matches my silly nature VERY well. ;) It also is a great catalyst for an optimistic, enthusiastic attitude in this negative world of ours. I love the movie, and I just hope that doesn't make me a bad guy. ;)

Later masturbator! ;)

I think that was part of the charm. It was OTT, campy and cheesy just like his 'Dark Overlord' in "Howard the Duck" and 'Spike' in "Stay Tuned". It was kind of like he had watched "Hogan's Heroes", decided to mimic Col. Klink and then turned it up to 11. ;D

"My got! Deez peoplez ur all zo..teen-y." lol

This movie led to a funny chain of events (after making John my favorite actor for a long time, and still one of the best) that eventually led to me making the only Seona Dancing site.

This was probably the first real comedy I watched... or at least the first that really had an impact on me. I watched it when it first came out cuz my older brother had rented it. To this day I adore the movie. It was funny and so insanely strange that it can only be described as a John Leguizamo movie

"When I was younger I had 2 imaginary friends.. problem was, theyd only play with each other."

I saw it, finished it, and wasn't sure of what I just saw. Maybe I ought to see it again, but the only thing I was sure of is that this, honestly, was different from any other movie I'd ever seen. I really think I ought to rent it again.

I must admit, when I first got the DVD I was abit dissapointed. I didn't really like it all that much. I love John Leguizamo, he has always cracked me up & I thought, "no, maybe I just didn't watch it proper". I'd spent quite abit of money getting my DVD player to play multiregion dvds, cos I live in England in the U.K. & I did it mainly so I could see this film, so I watched it again, & again, & again & now after about a week of watching it everyday....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!
It's definately one of those films that you have to watch a few times to completely appreciate it.
But I can't believe I didn't like it at first, it's great! It's extremely funny & it's gonna go down as one of my fave movies of all time! :D & I never would of said that when I first watched it.

So, my advice, if you don't like it, just keep watching it until you do. :D It grows on you....ALOT!!!

His character reminds me alot of me when I was about 13. For a girl, I was extremely stupid & zany, but yet, I liked getting my hair done & all that girly stuff, so I couldn't really be called a tomboy eiether. I'm 19 next week & Some people say I haven't changed much, but hey, who cares?

GET STUPID GET RETARDED, COS PEST WILL GET THE PARTY STARTED!!! HAHA!!! I love singing that shower song...mainly in the shower!

I totally agree. The first time it wasnt funny and almost annoying but the second time when you catch more of the jokes and realize it is a slapstick comedy you like it more. I love the part when he reads the German book "Sex be nimble, sex be quick" and when he talks about going to Harvard. "Oh books, I love to read." "But I break out when i'm shalacked and what's more embarrassing than a zitty head on the wall."

I loved this movie as well and tend to greet my small children (ages seven down) with John/the Pest's little forehead-slapping that he does at the table when he greets his family.

Voodoo Mambo FTW
