Vienna police

How come even after long car chases, shooting, smashing of cars, running down shops, wild driving on public squares were there no police in sight?

And why were they arrested when leaving these scene walking?

Gee, Vienna appears to be the wild west.

Yeah I had wondered about the same thing, probably because it's a movie and all the spectacular action of the sequence shouldn't have been interrupted according to the writer of the movie or so. Well I don't know for sure I guess if this were to really happen in Vienna there'd be a lot of police quickly at the scene.

That there is no austrian police present during or after that chase may be due to the fact that these scenes were not shot in Vienna at all, but in Bratislava. (Probably because it's cheaper.)

If you watch the credits, it shows that there was some work done in Austria, but a lot more done in Slovakia. Having lived in Bratislava and visited Vienna, I could definitely identify lots of places in the car chase that were definitely Bratislava, but I didn't recognize some of the places in the scenes before the chase. The interior/exterior location of the "trucking company" was a Slovak palace located in the main square where the Christmas market is usually held. The violent climax of the chase scene takes place in the area outside the grand music/performance hall downtown (just a couple blocks from the Austrian and US Embassies).
