Totally absorbing, almost too real. A great production with wonderful performances from all the actors.
shareI agree. Superbly written, magnificently acted. I defy anyone to watch it without being moved to tears at some stage. British television at its increasingly rare best. Who on earth would watch 'reality TV' if drama of this quality were more readily available?
Yet I had to buy a copy from the Netherlands, where the DVD was released, because it apparently wasn't in the UK. Why on earth not?? This has happened to me with other, usually one-off or two-part dramas - it seems that unless something is a series that can be sold in a boxed set, it falls by the wayside.
This is a masterpiece - and wherever you have to buy it, it is most definitely worth watching.
