"Similarly, I'm pretty sure the call signs of the two principal Warriors are intended to be ironic - that is, 'Romeo' and 'Juliet', since that's also a reference to a story of two warring factions."
Lt Col Bob Stewart, the commander of the first British detachment into Bosnia, The Cheshire Regiment, named his Warrior AFV (armoured fighting vehicle) "Juliette". It was the commanders prerogative to "name" his vehicle. I think Stewart's wife was called Juliette. None of the other Warriors in the Cheshire battalion had names. But the film-makers obviously thought it fun to pick up on the reference, and name the other vehicle Romeo. Which is the standard British phonetic alphabet term for the letter "R", so entirely plausible, since Juliet is the phonetic alphabet term for "J".
