I want to know why this movie has not been played on HBO since September 11, 2001.

I have tried to find a copy through rental and a week after 9/11/2001 it was pulled from shelves.

I saw this movie when it was released and find that this is pertinent to President Clinton's terms in office as well as the thousands of victims of 9/11/2001.

The public should understand more about the first trade center bombings and not one person, not one bibliography has been told since that awful day of 9/11/2001.

If anyone has a copy of this movie I would be happy to buy it from you.

I have wondered why it wasn't repeated incessantly myself. I have a copy, but only the one I taped off of HBO. I'm sure you can order it somewhere.

I found a copy on e-bay. I've shown all my friends and they can't believe it! It is a fantastic, acurate portrayl of the fervor of al-quaida and the taliban. How fanaticism can win out over logic is beyond me.

After I saw this movie again, it only confirmed what I feel about our President and the war on terror. He's taken too much heat for a job that had to be done. We have been safe since 9/11. I would like to keep it that way.

The movie only spoke of the blind cleric and his buddies - It never mentioned Al-Quieda or the Taliban. Whatever connection was known in 1997 didn't make it into this film. The line I can't forget is Peter Coyote testifying at the end about it was all going to happen again because its just too easy.

I think you meant Peter Gallagher's character as an FBI man. Ramzi Yousef who was captured 3 years later and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole was Al-Quaeda. You can google his name and find that to be true. The Shiek Mahmud-bey who was also arrested and given the same sentence is also Al-Queda and finally El- Sayid Nossair, who you will remember being the man who shot the Jewish Rabbi was also given the same sentence is Taliban.

It is frightening that people do not know this. If you go to IMDB and run the title Path to Paradise and get all the names of the actual terrorists (not the actors who played them) you will find the names are connected to terrorism.

I made a mistake in the shiek's name. Look up Shiek Omar Abdel Rahman. I confused an actors name with the person I was telling you about. Sorry about that.

However, I never meant to infer that these folks were not terrorists, or tied in with AQ or the Taliban. What I said was that at the time the film was released, AQ, Taliban, or Osama were not mentioned. There were some sketchy references to international terrorists who hated America, but no names or titles. The film closed by intimating that more attacks from such were likely, but if you watch the thing there is no mention SPECIFICALLY of the people who hit us on 9-11. It's a very minor point, but there isn't any mention.

If I had to guess, I would doubt most Americans had even HEARD of Osama Bin Ladin, Al-Queida, or even the Taliban prior to 9-11. Even after the attacks in Africa and on the USS Cole. As a people, we are not really known for paying attention.

What is your name? You make intelligent and interesting comments and I would like to talk to you about other movies. I live in Racine, Wisconsin and see many movies. Would you be interested in e-mailing?

I do think you are right about pre 9/11. My point is that TODAY after all of the finger pointing (it's an election year) and the 9/11 commission and the capture of 2/3rd of the so called Deck of cards terrorists that the American people would know BY NAME some of people who killed our families and friends in New York, Washington DC and those in the plane that went down in the field.

Americans (God love them) are such an MTV, jump cut, I WANT IT KNOW kind of nation that very seldom do we take the time to seek the truth, find answers etc.. We are lazy in the respect that for 2 months after 9/11 we were flag bearing, bad asses who wanted someone or something to pay for 9/11. As the months waned people got back to their lives and are now bitching about security at the airport. Hightened terror alerts and measures like the Patriot Act to protect us. No more are the flag wearing kick your ass americans to be found.

Sorry......Got off on a rant there.

Your are right. In the movie there was no mention of any organization used. They used terrorist and a security measure called the "Terrorist Watch List".

All in all a great movie. It's too bad they don't have the guts to put back on the shelves.

They stopped playing it because of the final scene.. where they said next time they'll bring them (towers) both down..
