What is your favourite scene from the movie ?

Crikey, no posts since August....thats a shame. This is one of the best Scottish films ever made.

My favourite scene is the one where the pub is taken over by the characters locked in the cellar. It's hilarious. The script is absolute genius and the acting is brilliant.

The whole film is a mixture of drama, violence and comedy...but I found these things complimented each other and balanced out very well.

Im from Glasgow, but i reckon I would have enjoyed this film just as much even if I wasn't.

So what was your favourite scene ? :)

The scene where Michael confronts Thomas in the chapel. The lines are just classic. My favourite being, "I'm gonnae kill you Thomas. I'm gonnae kill you 'cos yer a *beep* embarrasment!"

The whole movie is genius. 10/10.

My partner and I saw Orphans in 2000, a few days after my mom died, right after spending a day with my poisonous siblings squabbling over her stuff. What I mostly remember about the movie is sitting there and saying "ya know - even *my* family isn't quite as *beep* up as these folks!"

We found out a couple of weeks ago that my partner's long-estranged mom is dead, so we've decided to rent Orphans and hold a good old fashioned Celtic wake 'cause her family was at least as *beep* up as the family in the movie, maybe more!

I may not be from Glasgow (i'm from Dublin to be precise. completly diffrent country!) anyway..

Orphans is a film i really do appreciate. the acting is fantastic, the script is great, and the story is heart-warming, and funny. makes you want to cry, and laugh.

favourite scene? hmm, most likely the part where Micheal is stood in front of his collegues, and he shouts 'i want ma mammy!' pure genius!

(i apoligise for spelling)

I am not from Glasgow either (from Germany), but Orphans is my favourite movie - because of Dougie Henshall and the Glasgow banter. And just like you wrote - the "mammy"-scene is great!

I watched this last night and the bar scene where they're throwing darts at the owner's ass had me laughing so hard I couldn't get my breath. Even better is when the rich guy cums in Tanga's face.

I loved the talking fish and the 3 naked nuns in the fruit and veg department buying rhubarb.

I saw this film in mongolia and it brought the house down.
