"She's no heavy, she's my mother."

Having that line you could write any old crap for the rest of the film and it would still be good

There's loadsa great lines in this film.

'He just came oan mah face!!'

'Excuse me, can you please stoap movin yer erse?'

'You got a problem wi bairns wi cancer?' 'Aye I hate them. Ah wish they would aw *beep* off and die!'

'Ah've heard the Pakora's no bad'

I would disagree with most people's opinions that this is a black comedy, its much more than that, some of it's heavy goin and the shotgun scene especially is edge of your seat stuff. Still one of the best british movies of the last 10 years though, definitely the best Scottish movie ever made.

I've not seen it yet but it sounds excellent! Does nayboduy know any lines that Frank says cos I am working with the guy who plays him (Gus Martin) just now. I just want to know any lines so I can take the mickey outta him! Ta!

I cracked up at:

"Bloody Hell Sheila, You've broken the Virgin Mary"

and yeah that "She ain't heavy" line is a classic!!!

I second the "She ain't heavy, she's my mother". Funny how no one noted so far that this is a jokey reference to the Hollies "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother."

When all the wee lassies are round the sister in the wheelchair. "Wanty buy a record?" and in the pub when deciding what to do to the barman. wee ned says "I might.. If a wiz jellied". And earlier when ned pops his head up in the cellar. "Aw a did wiz put ma feet up on the seat"
