Did anyone think they were watching shawshank redemption at first?

I had never seen the movie before flipping through the tv one Saturday afternoon. I ser Andy dufrene walk in on his wife *beep* some dude. I keep watching and then realize as he isn't in court it isn't the same movie. But it started the same way and lured me in.

I knew this wasn't Shawshank, however I thought the premise was eerily similar at first. I thought maybe the writers were paradying Robbin's role of being cheated on as Dufrane.
