Why was the movie titled Monument Ave.?

The characters don't live on Monument Ave. It was just where one of the characters broke into someone's suburban home.

I know WHY the title was changed from "Snitch" (it's not very marketable) but why THIS title?

I think "Monument Ave." was selected because it served as a sort of metaphor for the protagonist. It represented an ideal place to escape the violence of his neighborhood for some peace and quiet.

It's my whole life in words

Leary's character frequently looks at pictures from his childhood and his friends in happier times. I think those are the "monuments" the film might be referring to.

It's a street in Charlestown where they all live.
