Did anyone notice in the end credits that Kathleen Oldman (Gary's mother) actually sang the song that nan sang in the club? When I first watched it, I thought the actress was lip-synching and then I saw in the credits that his mother actually sang the song.

No need to be so obnoxious nomarch! Yes it was Gary's mum, considering the film was 'loosely based' on his childhood and he dedicated the film to his dad, I think the words of the song were quite poignant!
