Cast for a "REAL" Nick Fury Movie.

Well, let's see if we can come up with an actual cast for a real Nick fury movie.
For those of you who don't know, Marvel is actually developing a script for a VERY dark Very HEavy Nick Fury Movie.

So, Any cast opinions?

Perhaps.....................................................

I have no real names in particular. I would say it can't be any guy under 35.

I would have thought Brad Pitt, but he's not *nearly* weathered enough. IMO Hasslehoff *looked* the part, but couldn't act it one bit.

Russel Crowe, maybe. Bruce Willis, if he was done up properly. But I've never been a big Fury fan, just the few appearances he made in the various other Marvel comics. So it's tough to take my suggestions as good enough. haha.

reply

I totally agree with you, Hasselhoff had the look down, but his skills as an actor made me think...wow!

I think that an undiscovered actor should play the part of Nick Fury.
I'd hate to see a reputable actor's career fall because of a comic book-based movie.

Peace Out Buddy,

ok, if they do the "ultimate" version it would without a doubt be Samuel L. Jackson, but if they go the tradition Nick Fury then i would cast Gary Sinise, you know, he was in forrest gump as Lt. Dan. he has the attitude and the look. for some reason i want to see Edward Norton play Fury aswell, he is just a great actor, i think he could really pull it off.

reply

Norton doen't have the voice. Jim Caviezel would make a far better Nick Fury.

reply

Caviezel can't play badd ass. He's kind of a wimp.

reply

Caviezel can definitely play a badass. He played one of the original badasses in The Count of Monte Cristo.

reply

Not to mention Jesus.

reply

In hindsight, Samuel L Jackson really DID become Fury, and Nortan played Hulk!! Funny how these things turn out.

reply

This is a question I've been struggling with for a while.

Fury, by looks at least, and I can see even by character, would be played well by Patrick Warburton as long as he has facial hair, and he's not a complete chucklehead either. Look him up if you don't know who I mean.

reply

OK Folks, here's the man to play Col. Fury: BRUCE CAMPBELL! The one and only Ash himself would be absolutely perfect as the SHIELD agent! Come on, he's got everything that it takes to be Nick: the look (with a lil gray near his temples to add with the eyepatch), the bad attitude, and the brass balls required!

reply

jupp, bruce cambell would be perfect

reply

Finally, someone chose to suggest Bruce Campbell in a movie which would suit his age. And I agree, this is a good casting choice. I also like the suggestion of Samuel Jackson. My personal suggestion would be Denzel Washington.

reply

i never read the ultimate one so i really can't comment on it. except for nick fury i grew up with was a baddass white guy not a bad ass black guy, though i think denzel and sam jackson are amazing actors, i just cant picture them as nick.
hassel hoff had the look down pat. it's a shame he couldnt act it, i am not sure who i would pick, though i personally think if they ever decide to make a serious movie to go with an exxtremly talented yet fairly unknown actor. i dont think bruce willis o tommy lee jones would really make the part but then again i originally thought toby was a terrible pick for spiderman and he ended up proving me wrong so. ce le vie

Bruce Campbell has Already been in SPiderman 1. The Ring anouncer, that baptizes Spidey, with his name. You know, he says, "Spiderman" for the first time. So Marvel fans would freak, or see some sort of weird tie in.

Glad I'm not the only one who suggested BC to play Col. Fury (though I'm surprised I'm the first one who did!). Also, I could picture Viggo Mortensen in the role, too. He'd have to age about 5 years, of course, give or take a few. But it would be sweet to see the man who helmed Aragorn kick ass as another pop hero.

reply

you are absolutely right, he was great in Bubba Ho-Tep as Elvis

reply

Patrick Warburton? PATRICK WARBURTON? And everyone has been complaining that David Hasselhoff had the looks but couldn't act!!! Patrick Warburton would be a far worse choice than David Hasselhoff!!!

reply

My top three choices right now are Bruce Campbell, Robert Patrick and Viggo Mortensen.

reply

Hey,

I am Justin and i never seen this fiim but i did meet Mr. Hasselhoff. I wish i seen this TV Film i never seen it yet.

I just thought about another actor who might be a good choice for this role. Julian McMahon from Charmed and Nip/Tuck.

I could see him in that role, but he's Dr. Doom.
I dont think it would work, and I'd rather see him as Doom than Fury any day

Mark...

Busey's a tad pudgy (no disrespect to "Mr. Joshua"), but I like the idea of Michael Biehn... he's got the lean and mean looks with the bad-ass persona to pull off Col. Fury for sure.

Clint Eastwood would be a amazing Nick Fury if this was filmed about twenty years ago. But if there was a movie I would like to see Clint play Fury.

reply

maybe Ron Perlman. Hes got a gritty look matching Furys. Good with action flicks. And doesnt suck at acting.

reply

Well, we've already got a prototype for Fury in Arnie's "True Lies", with old Chas Heston hamming it up as Arnie's boss.

Personally, I'd go with BC, but there could be a percentage in choosing some unknown - I saw a bloke with an eyepatch and a stogie striding down Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow the other day, and I started looking round for an invisible car...

Jason Brooks.

Liev Schreiber.

Jonathan LaPaglia.

George Eads.

Jim Caviezel

Fred Ward would be awesome
or Henry Rollins!

reply

I would also like to see Bruce Campbell do the role, but what if we sent Hasselhoff to acting lessons?
Does anybody know if the Nick Fury movie will be during his SHIELD days, or will it be set during WWII when he was SGT Fury of the Howling Comandoes (God I loved that comic)?

Well either BC or DH would work either way.

These are jsut my oppinions and I want to hear yours.
God Bless!

PS: Hey, I just thought maybe Kurt Russel would do a good job, it would be like his Snake role from Escape from New York.

reply

Henry Rollins is an off beat and interesting choice.

reply

Thomas Gibson.

reply

I think Rollins would be an awesome fury, especially if the script is based on the burned out soldier from the Garth Ennis mini-series

Michael Madsen
