How does this connect to Avengers?

I dont understand how this connects to the new Avengers movie. Why make a sequel to this 14 years later and recast Hasselhoff with Samuel L Jackson. He's not even the same race! I don't get it!

I was pretty excited about Avengers after seeing this, but now I'm just confused!

What's even more curious is that Nick Fury wasn't even in The Avengers. I assumed it was released as a TV movie to garner interest in the movie release and then I went and saw it and it had nothing to do with it! I am glad they remade the avengers, I just don't know why they waited so long. I am a little disappointed to hear Hasselhoff isn't in it though..

You can't be serious. This was worse than the Generation X adaption Fox did. It's the reason why Fox stopped making made for TV movies. You also show you have zero comics knowlege.

John Steed and Emma Peel are actually agents of SHIELD posing as British operatives as part of a deep cover op.

this doesn't connect with the avengers whatsoever, this isn't even in the same continuity, what on earth are you thinking. The Marvel Universe movies are only made by Marvel Studio, Fox has nothing to do with this.

reply

Yes it was done in a time when Marvel was licensing their products to other studios before making their own movie studio in 2006.

Iron Man and Incredible Hulk were the first Marvel Studios films.
