ive never just met somebody one day and decided to go on a drug binge/ car trip with them that day. that part did not seem real to me. ill pick up hitchikers and ill go to parties with people i dont know, both of these places there will be substance shared, but at the end of the day/night i dont want to be stalking or be stalked by these basic strangers. other than that premise i love this movie

I suppose I would do the same if I were in his shoes. A loner dork teen living in a *beep* up abusive home. What would i have to lose?

I agree, turkish. When your choices are:

A) Day after day in a loveless home where you get hit for no reason,

or

B) An adventure with a mysterious pretty girl who is nice to you,

which do you choose? I would take B without thinking twice.

Yep. And to get all cheesy, maybe they felt something special, like they found a "soulmate" or something.
