don't have the movie handy to check, but I have the soundtrack and it lists the last 2 tracks as

The Finale-original score by Claudio Ragazzi

O Pato-Coleman Hawkins

hope that helps

During the walk on the beach we heard Sarah Vaughn singing "Wave" , that was at the beginning of the credits at the close. There might have been a different placement of songs on the soundtrack as they are not always in the same order as the film.

"Wave" is not on the soundtrack. You actually have to buy a Sarah Vaughan CD to get it. Bummer. But I did.

Maybe that was their intent all along, to get people to seek out CDs by the great Sarah Vaughan! Even stranger is that it's not on the Viva Vaughan! album that has so many other great Bossa Nova style tunes. But any SV purchase is money well spent!

FYI: "Wave" is actually the first song played during the credits (which I assume is what the OP meant), but the second song played at the end of the end credits--"Batucada"--is on the soundtrack album.

"Well, for once the rich white man is in control!" C. M. Burns

It's "Wave" by jazz great Sarah Vaughan. ("So close your eyes... for that's a lovely way to be... just catch the wave, don't be afraid of loving me. The fundamental loneliness goes whenever two can share a dream together.") I think the Brazilian guy hums or sings it at some point too, maybe on the plane, when he is chatting up that girl wearing the bizarre blonde wig. It's not on the movie soundtrack.

Great movie, great way to end it!
