Composer Milos Bok originally sounded out for the score

Composer Milos Bok, czech contemporary music enfant terrible, was originally sounded out for the score of this one. Being strongly against everything meaningless (and strongly against consumption basically), he agreed to do this because of Jakubisko´s great artistic films from the communist era. He was to compose the orchestral score and supervise the scoring while composer and guitar player Jaroslav Novak was to compose the songs and the "rock" parts. Both are members of the Elgar Artistic Association (www.elgar.cz) - a bunch of artists from various fields who´s main gaol is mainly to produce and support new classical music (and art generally) that would be both technically demanding and appealing to the general public. I hear it didn´t work out because of disaccords with producer Deana Horvatova (Jakubisko´s wife). And that´s when more "commercial" film composer Ondrej Soukup was called in. Good for Bok and Novak as Jakubisko´s cooperation with Horvatova seems to have bad effects on his filmmaking lately.
