Why Natascha McElhone? Not her daughters?

I love Natascha McElhone, (she was great in Solaris) and she did a wonderful job
as the young Clarissa, but wouldn't it have been sublime if one of Ms. Redgrave's real life daughters Joely or Natasha Richardson played her in youth.
I guess they were both either busy, preggers or didn't want to work with Mummy?
If I did,I'm sure the producers and casting people thought about, maybe they were both too expensive but I doubt that?

I'd say a more likely reason is that both of them are about 10 years too old to fit with the actress they cast as Young Sally.

My goodness, it's called acting, not Theatre de Nepotisme.

That was hilarious.

Theatre de Nepotisme. Ha! Zing...

Seriously, what a weird question on the OP's part.

reply

Hahaaa! Theatre de Nepotisme...still funny eight years later.
