Cockroach Scene

I've been known to watch some pretty unsettling horror films but for some reason the cockroach scene was a lot more unsetting to me than any scene in per say a Friday the 13th movie. It's just a very offbeat scene. Like if you saw a cockroach, would you impale it on a fork just so people can see it? And the vomit part with the pink stuff and the other part of the cockroach is just repulsive. I sometimes think the twin girls are like weird little sociopaths because as their father is having a heart attack, they're too busy trying to kill the other part that he barfed up. To top it all off, as he's getting taken away by the ambulance, the girls are just having fun playing with the restricted tape. I think the reason why I find this whole scene kind of disturbing is because I wasn't expecting something like this in a family movie. If I see a movie called "Slaughtered Vomit Dolls" then of course I'm going to be expecting people getting slaughtered and people vomiting.

I love this movie, but the scene mentioned absolutely traumatized me as a kid. I usually have to skip over it.
