Thank you so much for posting this link. I've always wondered what case this was based on. So the mother had another crime in the planning stage against her son-in-law's mother - good grief. Interesting read.

Mother Knows Best is based on the true story of Lee Goldsmith of Boca Raton, Florida. In February 1989, the then 67-year-old retiree tried to have her son-in-law David Brownstein killed.
