kinda underated...

Montana was unique in it's own kinda way, even though the story was done a few time's, was reminiscent I think of a cross between maybe the Usual Suspects, and Goodfella's. Along the line's of those. Overall, seriously underated, and needs to gain some popularity. It is pretty violent, and who doesn't like violence in the media? I know I do. Check it out if you are reading this, and havn't yet seen it. Definitely worth seeing once, and so on..

Good movie. Well paced and not completely predictable. What limo service is driving Claire from the last shoot em up? Right after Nick buys the farm.

I believe that is part of their own separate world. Like where a small boy decides he wants to help out a lady dig her own grave.

I have seen this flick maybe 5 times and it never gets old. But the plot holes get weird.

Such as why didn't Clare go back and kill the "John Ritter" character? There are a lot of those problems with the script but not the movie.

I love how at first it seems like your watching a play. Great action and Stanley Tucci almost steals the movie.

It is also a stunningly cast film "Philip Seymore Hoffman" in a small supporting role. Almost all the players were about to go BOOM or their just great character actors your always happy to see on film.

Also this really is one of John Ritter's greatest roles. Talk about playing brilliantly against type! I am in a 12 step program and his super evil mogul who sell's a ton of a book called the step I thought was hilarious. Ritter "Some programs have as many as 7 steps, some even have 12! With mine their is only one easy step won't you take that with me" smiles like a new age shark. That man had talent.

I agree. I first saw this on HBO some years back. I enjoyed the humor in it, and it was fun to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman basically steal the scenes he was in. Kyra Sedgewick was really good, and the late John Ritter showed that he could be a really bad guy when he wanted to play that kind of role. I have a copy of the DVD and actually enjoy the movie from time to time. The opener with Stanley Tucci and Kyra Sedgewick getting the wrong guy...a good start.

wow, i liked this one too, very surprised there are not more posts about it.

Yes it is very much under-rated. Gem of a film with good work from all involved (Robbie Coltrane as a gangster ?). .. and Kyra ... brill.

The other 9 films were probably his own.

Agree. Was really nice. Can't keep my eye's off Kitty! LOL, that's part of the reason. It's a basic small crime drama that defines where it always ends, thugs turning on each other and they all end up dead.

This will always have a place in my heart because it's one of John Ritters BEST performances. He's great as a comedian, but i've always loved his straight parts. Such an eff'ing loss. RIP John.
