There will be a Money Talks 2, finally !

That is great news, man. It's pretty f-cked up to make a sequel to a great movie 10-11 years later though.

reply

Not that surprising though. If they could get the actors on board then they're probably hoping to piggy back on the success of the Rush Hour films.

Tucker is still in good form, and Sheen has had a bit of a career turnaround and done well in Two And A Half Men, so I'm hopeful.

It's also listed on Tucker's Hollywood.com page (thank god, they couldn't have had a new actor). He's down as actor and producer again.

Now, the question is if Tucker will be himself in that movie. I absolutely loved - and still love - Money Talks. I love foul-mouthed movies. I have no source for what I am about to say, but I heard that Tucker didn't want to do movies like this (and Friday) anymore.

If this is true, then this movie is going to suck. If not, and Tucker is back to his motor-mouth, trash-talking, curse-a-second ways, it will be awesome.

reply

Well, Tucker hasn't directly said anything about not doing the Friday movies, but sadly he hasn't shown any interest :(

I love his style though, loud and always something funny or rude to say :D

I hope Money Talks 2 turns out good :)

reply

yeah i think the source for tucker not wanting to do any more films like friday was from ice cube.i heard him say in an interview that chris wouldn't do next friday as he didn't want to do any more films like that (dope smoking etc).shame though

so its defo that der wil b makin money talks 2 ?!

*~Chris Tucker is the best and the funniest actor in the world!~*

What the *beep* did you just say?

If it is PG-13, I am not watching it. It has become clear that PG-13 only means no f-bombs. You can have all the violence in the world, but no cursing. It is absolutely retarded.

Now, I have been accused of cursing too much (hell, I'm from NY), but I believe cursing is necessary in most scripts. I loathed Die Hard 4 because at no point in time did I feel like I was watching a Die Hard film. No cursing = no John MacLean. He's an ordinary dude put into horribly *beep* situations. People like that curse. Same with Franklin Hatchett. The thing that made Money Talks so great was that Tucker fit the character of the fast-talking, trash-slinging verbal maniac perfectly. Crippling his vocabulary ruins the character.

Think about it. How perfect was the scene when Sheen was interviewing Tucker for the first time. They must have said the f-bomb ten times, but it was perfect.

But, it won't matter. The entire movie industry has become a gigantic bunch of ginger twats. We are on the fast track to a repeat of the Victorian Era.

Thank you Jebus! I have been hoping that they made a sequel to this movie. I just hope that Sheen and Tucker still bring that chemistry from the first film. You know, the whole offending each other and complete lack of respect for one another. In my opinion this made for a perfect action/comedy. I also hope that there is some Italian grits in the sequel...

reply

Cool! I really liked the first one, hopefully the sequel will be as funny and good(and R-rated)

reply

thats sickkk they should call it bull *beep* walks

really

I thought the original was ok, kinda like Rush Hour.

However Rush Hour 2 and 3 sucked ass, and thats what Money Talks 2 will do

reply

rush hour 2 was pretty decent can't speak of 3 yet, money talks was a awesome film from start to finish money talks 2 might not be as good but with sheen and tucker it should still be at least watchable

reply
