Blu-Ray aspect ratio

IMDB lists the aspect ratio as 2.35:1, and that's the ratio of the DVD. But according to Amazon, the new Blu-Ray is 2.40:1. Is this correct? Does the Blu-Ray actually have more picture on the sides, or is this a misprint? Can someone who has actually compared both versions please advise.
