I remember back when the movie came out that John Sayles (Lone Stars, Limbo, City Of Hope, etc) was credited on the poster in some writing capacity. How is it he's nowhere mentioned here?

He's mentioned in the commentary as being brought on as a script re-writer / doctor.

Despite his reputation as an indie filmmaker now, he has his fingerprints on a lot of sci-fi/horror stuff around this time.
