Are they still together in 1987, 1997, 2007+?

So, 30 years after this fictional marriage, are Chris and Marion still together, or did they split up long ago?

I think if it had been a different actress playing Marion, I could've enjoyed that story more. I just can't warm to Emily Watson. I had the same problem in Equilibrium.
