I never really understood this, but was the dragonfly from the opening scene an alien in disguise, or just a normal bug? Why else would the camera be lingering for 2 minutes on some dragonfly? How could a normal dragonfly maneuver threw a semi truck engine?

Then again, if you came from another planet, why would you wanna disguise yourself as a 2 inch long bug?

No just an unrelated thing to maybe wink to the audience and say is it an alien or is it a bug. Then when it splats on the windscreen and th driver says "God damn bugs" this fore shadows the events of the movie IMO.

The force will be with you always...
