We're Hungarian!

I thought that was hilarious when Marcy said to McGlory's dad, "Wow you know, your ancestry was really hard to find in Ireland." And McGlory's dad said "That's because we're not really Irish! We had a hard to pronounce Hungarian last name so we got the name McGlory upon entering Ellis Island." That sure explained a lot.

Something similar happens in Local Hero. Peter Riegert is sent by his oil company in Houston to a small village in Scotland. He is known as Mac in Houston and is supposed to buy the entire town as the site of an oil refinery.
Burt Lancaster in the head of the oil company and its a very funny movie.

Mac is like a fish out of water used to nice clothes and the big city and not Scottish at all. Another case of an immigrant mascarading as something he is not. I don't remember what his nationality really was.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else
