On my last trip to Prague I also saw one filming location for this film; the old part of the train station where the guys hung out by the railing looking for customers. it is closed off now, but it still exists. maybe because it's a kind of landmark. It is totally abandoned now. i also saw where the old casino was, now just a closed off room. Sometimes locales that we see in films look so much different in person, but this train station looks the same as it did in the film.

I recognized several of the locations as well:

several parts of Wenceslas Square, particularly the shot down the square of the National Museum

Hlavní nádraží and the rear of the National Museum shot from either Španělská or Italská

inside Hlavní nádraží

the tall phone tower building that looks like a spaceship

the castle seen from a bridge a ways down Vltava

I tried to check the photos linked above, but alas, 7 years later the links are no longer valid.

I love seeing places I know in movies. Kolja has several familiar places as well, including the building with the green dome in Malá Strana, which always makes me laugh, because I know that the unseen ground floor is a Starbucks of all things
