Johnathan is so ugly. Blahh. He's an OK actor, But no where near good enough to keep me entertained. Everytime he talked in this movie, It was like he was reading from a book. Nothing sounded natural coming from him. I only watch this movie because of Matthew. Hes so good of an actor, And really cute.

I know, when JRM loses his accent, he loses all of his charm too. It was like he was concentrating so hard on speaking with the American accent that he had no energy left to put into his acting.

I thought Jonathan did a good job with this role. It was very early on in his career when he was only 19 or 20 and yet he was able to put on an American accent and hide his Irish one.

WOW, I thought, "The lost of Sexual innocence" was the youngest I've seen of Rhys Meyers. Wrong! This movie is on TV right now and he is so young, 17 or 18. But I agree with the OP, Mathew Modine is really good.
