MOST actresses who hope for a serious acting career, decline to do nude scenes--largely for the same reason that it bothered Paul Newman, that people went to his films, for his looks--rather than his acting ability.
If one is valued for their looks, rather than their talent, when the looks fade--so does the career.
There are always better breasts. There's not always better acting than Katherine Hepburn or Meryl Streep.
Angela Bassett refused to do a nude scene, in Critters 4, so they hired a double.

I'm kind of referring to 'gratuitous nudity'.
Marisa Tomei is very uncomfy doing nudity, but, because of the level of writing, has done them in The 'Wrestler' & 'Before the Devil knows You're Dead'.

When did Scarlett Johansson or Jennifer Love Hewitt ever do anything disrobed? Are you including with undies still on? That doesn't count as "going nude" as far as the contracts and paperwork are concerned.

Actually with actresses showing your breasts IS considered nudity. You almost never see anything below the belt. Sort of the same with actors. Just baring your butt is considered nudity. There's very few actors who will do frontal. ALSO the ratings board seems to go ballistic when you show full frontal male or female nudity. I remember "The Dreamers" got an NC-17 because (according to the ratings board) there was just a little too much male nudity. Kind of stupid really.

I don't know about Scarlet but I did promise Jennifer I'd never release our video with her lovely bedazzled Vajayjay on display...It looks great but the jewels were a bit rough on the tools if you know what I mean!

You left out Kathleen Turner and Ellen Burstyn (who was fifty when she did a nude scene), both of whom are better actresses than all but a handful on your list.
