A little confused about one scene

When Diane is in the Naval Academy, she is seen kissing a boy that is not David. She cheated on David? Did David ever find out? Why would she turn around and cheat on him when she was so bothered that David cheated on her with AJ? That scene completely confuses me.

The scene I'm talking about is right here-

Diane did cheat on David while in the Academy. The guy was named Jay (I forget him last name). He testified at her trial. She had confessed everything to him before she did her roommates, but he didnt say anything at that time. Then when the roommates came forward, so did he.

Any idea if Jay was allowed to remain at the Academy ?

I think, honestly, the whole death of Adrianne Jones was so pointless and stupid and the result of a psycho, delusional, over-jelous girlfriend, who then went on to commit the same act of adultery. If anyone doesn't know this, after they were put into jail, they broke up and she's now married to another inmate. This whole case just sickens me to no end. A girl died for no reason that night.

I remember reading some article that the guy Diane slept with at the Naval Academy said that Diane claimed that David was abusive.

I agree with others Adrianne's death was tragic and pointless. David Graham was a douche to not stand to up to Diane.

I agree I feel so horrible about Adrianne's death - her poor family; and you right it was tragic, pointless, and just pure sickening what they did. I think both Diane and David were just obsessed w/each other, I think they had a very "unhealthy relationship" and it wasn't love; more like lust, from the start. They both cheated on each other, so that is why I think Adrianne's death was so uncalled for, it makes me ill knowing they have such people like that in the world. Well glad they got what came to them, but it will never bring back Adrianne, and the pain, grief of her family will forever go on.

I was going to ask some question, but yes, scene is significant on two points I guess.

that she herself is soon stepping out on him..so much for their big immortal Victorian romance..(maybe since he plunked someone else, she wants to be even)

and that she is running her mouth to so many people she may as well call a press conference and give it all up to reporters.
