Why did the Bobby character wail around like a mentaly challenged kid
I know he was struck with grief but why instead of sobing did he look like a down syndrome kid having a fit?

The scene made no sense. The character had never once mentioned his sister, and there really needed to be at least a line somewhere before ("He is so close to his sister." "He was raised by his siter." etc.) to have this ring true.
I found the scene completely embarrassing to watch.
Justin Kirk is a great actor but this was early in his career and he hjad done it on stage. On stage u have to REALLY let loose so the audience can know how you're feeling. They should have toned it down for the movie but didn't.
