What was the point of the future scene where Bobby and Gregory admitted that at the time of Bobby's death, he had left Gregory? I'm not against bittersweet endings or having the couples not end up together, but there just didn't seem to be any point to it at all. It could have at least have had some significance. Am I missing something here?

Why does there have to be a point to their breakup? Things like that happen all the time. It's just life. I admit I was kind of surprised when I first heard it but accepted it.
I think what's missing is the reason. Did Bobby cheat again? Did Gregory (unlike Arthur and Terry) never manage to get over it? They should have put that in the wrapup.
