BRILLIANT FILM

I´ve seen this film this morning. One month before I went to an Exhibition of Francis Bacon´s paintings in "El Prado Museum" in Madrid. I couldn´t see all the exhibition because I arrived later, one hour before they closed. Well, I could see a few of the incredible paintings and photographs and I felt that was very interesting, very dark, very strange. One photograph impacted me, one where Francis Bacon was posing in his studio. I thought that thing couldn´t be the studio of a normal person. That photo transported me to a world of chaos and madness, a world of bodys in movement, a world of sex and violence. A world that John Maybury has capted perfectly in this film.
Excellent!

I agree. everything about the film was based on his work, and I think the majority of people who didnt like this film didnt understand it because they havent researched Bacons work and life.
