I thought this film was good. Nothing earth shattering, or mind blowing but satisfying nonetheless. Mickey is the only thing that keeps the film watchable. I thought he gave a rather good performance considering the material he had to work with. He rises above the script and the weak dialoge. He is no longer the attractive, mysterious man from the original, but it's alright, it works for his character, and the scene with him and Lea in the bar where he does shot after shot of Absinthe and starts to trip out was very neat in my opinion. The soundtrack also helps the cause. Bottom line if you are a mickey rourke fan, you'll like this film, if not, at least give it a shot, you might be surprised, any thoughts.
