I just realized how dumb that is. They're just chaotically shooting into the air. It would only take a couple guys, maybe even one, to just unload on the T Rex and kill it. Were they that scared even with all those guns? They should have just removed all their weapons from the plot (except Roland), maybe their armory gets blown up during the sabotage

sharekinda strange everyone had a machinegun I guess when the T-Rex came everyone just immediately lost their *beep* and started running but we do see one guy with what looks like an smg running away flailing aimlessly and firing into the air.
You have to remember, these are just low brow mercenaries, nothing could have prepared them to see a freaking T-Rex ambush them in the middle of the night, most of us would have immediately died from a heart attack, or immediately bolted forgetting about the gun.
Chalk it up to incompetent poorly trained illegal mercenaries taken by complete surprise.
