Just came on tonight.
***SPOILERS:***
Katie's friend Dana severely injures herself on the beam at Nationals and not only loses her chances for the Olympics, but may never walk again. Realizing that Katie could be next, Allison (Swoosie Kurtz) talks to Greg about how harsh he is with the girls, Katie in particular. Greg states that he isn't responsible for their emotional well-being; that's the parent's job. Later that day, Allison goes to Katie and tells her that's she's off the team and they're going home. Katie protests, but Allison stands her ground. When they arrive home, Allison and Peter make up, saying that they'll have to stand by each other since Katie will try everything to convince them to let her go back to Greg. Katie mounts her beam outside and Allison goes to spot her. At the last moment, Katie suddenly jumps off the beam and hugs her mother, implying that she was happy with her mother's decision.
It's a pretty good movie. The sad thing is; as grueling as the training regimes were shown in this film, they're a thousand times worse in other countries, and very few girls make it to the Olympics.
