ey up has anyone seen this?

hello!...
i'll admit i did originally only buy this film cos it stars jon bon jovi and it took me awhile to actually watch it cos i didnt think it wud be up to much but actually i was wrong! its one of those films that makes me swear at the tv, i got sooo annoyed with the characters but it is good and i totally enjoyed it!

just one criticism on jon...i really think he should maybe smile where it needs a jon smile cos he has the cutest sexiest smile and the film needed that jon smile!

Yup, I saw it. I always watch anything set in SF although when you read the end credits you normally find they're shot in Canada (or South Africa)! Great film though, liked it a lot. There was one bit on a doorstep where you think "oh no this is the corny bit where a punch is thrown and they start fighting over a woman" but it didn't come to that and there was no violence or blood shed which was a welcome, fresh change.

i agree bout the punch up, definitly a good change they didnt have to bring violence in to make it a good film

hi! Seems like you're a Bon Jovi freak too! At first when I saw this movie I was really annoyed cuz the characters are really confusing. I mean everbody's with everybody in this film! Although it's kinda a feel good movie...mainly cuz Jon Bon Jovi is in it :)
And I totally agree: He should've smiled in that unbelievably attractive way alot more in this movie! It would have made it better!

Take care!

I saw it. I haven't seen any movies with Jon in there and I thought I give it a shot. I didn't like this movie though. Pretty boring. But Jon was a good actor. I thought he did better in Pay it Forward although he got a small role. I hope in the other movies that I bought that stars him he does better. But it seems as long as he gets to seduce women he's happy with it (minus that Vampire movie and Cry_Wolf). We'll see...

I guess I would be the oddball in the group because I watched it for Josh Charles, who was solid as always. Charming, funny, believeable and understated.

Personally, I thought Bon Jovi was the weakest actor in the cast, occasionally uncomfortably so. That said, he was still better than I thought he would be and he had real charisma. At this point in his acting career, though, he just needed more acting classes.

I'm with you. I watched it for Josh Charles and agree with you completely about what you said about him and what you said about Bon Jovi.

does anyone know if this movie comes on tv?

I apologize JBJ fangirls/boys, but I thought this movie sucked. I guess I'm not used to the fact that this movie was straight-up adult oriented without the porn/nudity. I don't mind that stuff, but when it's overused throughout the entire film I hated it. I love the San Fran atmosphere though, it looks a lot more beautiful in this movie than I thought. I also liked how they nicknamed it "little city" (which I thought it was kind of cute). But overall, I hated it.

For JBJ's acting... umm... I guess it's all right. He looked surprisingly older in this movie than he did in Pay It Forward. But anyway, this movie was a disappointment to me. Sorry fans.

I so agree with you Ailesah. This movie sucked. I loved the movie title though, it's kind of cute for a terrible city. lol.

Rest in Peace, Heath Ledger. You will be missed horribly. We love you. Rest well, sweetheart.

I've just seen it recently. I thought it was alright. I liked it because Jon was in it, but the amount of cursing was somewhat of a downside for me...

Anyway, I had a question as well... That song that was playing in the movie at about 36 minutes in, the one where the one scene was Jon screaming into his pillow and started off with the lyrics "some people get lonely, I get tired"...Was that a song bit only made for the movie? I can't find anything about it or the singer on Google or YouTube. In the credits at the end, I saw that the name of the song was "Almost See You" by Tom Wolfe. Is it on a CD? I really like the song so I was trying to find the whole thing...

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!
