Well That's my question.
I know it was something involving Aphrodite & Hephaestus and a large net (which they use the streamer imagery at the end to illustrate that symbol).
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Well, that story goes that Aphrodite and Hephaestus were married, but Aphrodite cheated on him with Ares, when Hephaestus found out he set a trap for them and arranged for a net to fall over them while they were in bed, he then dragged them around so all the other gods could see, to humiliate them....but i really have no clue what that has to do with this movie.
shareThe Cupid and Psyche myth is closer, but the movie is a mish mash beacause it has Christian references also. I liked the film, but it would have been better if the Cohen brothers had done it--like "O Brother" also starring Holly Hunter.
shareI would guess Aphrodite, being the goddess of love, and Hephaestus had to make two people fall in love so they used a net to trap them together. But the better question is: who cares?
