I ordered this movie online for a friend who obsessed with Bret Michaels and the band Poison. But the company sent me two by mistake so I kept the extra copy.
It's actually really good. Poorly put together but it was low budget so come on! The writing was incredible. Better than most scripts for low budget films.
If it wasn't such a low budget film they could've had a better editor. And I bet this film would've wound up winning some kind of award.
I rented it from Netflix out of curiosity. There was a lot of psychological thriller stuff in it, but didn't make the transition to the screen very well. The weird video effects could have been used better. It wanted to be a good movie, but ended up mediocre.
It seemed kind of funny to me that there was a scene about videotaping a sexual encounter when Bret had to legally fight to keep an old video of him and Pam Anderson from circulating on the internet in real life. I kind of wished there was some on-screen chemistry between Bret and Kristi in that scene. A make out session could have been very hot. (Kristi is/was his real-life girlfriend and mother of his children.)
I hope your friend enjoyed the eye candy, as there was a butt shot, plenty of shirtless shots and the part where he was bald. (It looked like he has a nice head!)
I loved this film, the one thing that gets me though is it says CC Deville is uncredited as an actor so where the hell is he in this film, now that i know he is in the film i will have to watch it again just to see where he is at...if anybody remembers way back to 98 this is one of the films that got all the writers of hollywood looking at psycho thrillers, and there were actually a couple that were exactly like Brets script but had better editors, actors, directors, and so on so they went to win awards, not to mention people have heard of them off the bat, I personally can't think of any as of right now

I watched it in 2003 or something, so perhaps I don't remember if it was awful. All I remember is that I was a little confused in the end and I thought the end was kind of annoying. But over the years thinking about the plot I really want to see that movie again. So it can't be that bad...
shareI watched this last summer out of sheer curiosity. I laughed my ass off watching Bret's convulsing bald head in the trailer so I had to see it. Sure there are some comical parts that aren't meant to be funny, like the Charlie Sheen cameo, and parts of it look like low budget porn, but it's not intolerable. The storyline was workable. I've certainly seen worse.
