Men hating b*tches

As a woman, I am offended by this misogynist bull blop.

It was painfully uncomfortable to watch and I could not even finish it. All the characters were unlikable and while I have encountered men like this, it is few and far between.

Same for the women. This film does not represent the real world.

Disappointing.

if it does represent the real world, how 5 miserable people ended up together in relationships together is statistically quite amazing.

I thought so too, but didn't think it was bullsh!t. It's supposed to make you squirm, not feel all bubbly and warm inside. As for being misogynist, there are many moments where the women are just as vile to the men.

All the characters were unlikable
True, but for me they were at least interesting. I've seen rom-coms where everyone's the epitome of cheeriness and they're boring as hell. Some of the best characters in cinema are wholly unlikable, but still riveting to watch (Joe Gideon from All That Jazz, Carolyn Burnham from American Beauty, etc).

I can understand you turning off YF&N because it made you uncomfortable, but disagree that it doesn't represent the real world. The film isn't suggesting that everyone is like these characters -- but, as you said, we've all met a few people just like them. This movie just happens to have a half dozen of them.

I'm frankly astonished at this ghastly metamorphosis
