I think it was just to show how in the "nuclear family" theme Leave it to Beaver has.

They turned Gilbert into a black kid speaking ebonics while the clothing & atmosphere had a 50's feel. Beaver would rather have a bike then a computer? Thats the 50's style Beaver & not a kid of today.

i think its kind of a spoof-lol u know how in the brady bunch movie they act as though it were the 70's and everything's "neato" i think thats what its like here a spoof- i like this movie its pretty funny:)

In the late 1990s, computers weren't as main stream as they are today. Kids could play a few games on them, but that's about it. The internet was not yet popular. It was still a business computer for adults.

What decade would you say the Beaver's mother's make up was? It was seriously on street walker mode.
