I haven't seen this movie, but I'm studying Beat literature for my master's thesis and I was wondering if anyone could comment on how accurate this movie is to Neal's life at the time? Thanks.

much of it is based on Neal Cassady's book The First Third

Carolyn Cassady said Thomas Jane was the most accurate Neal ever captured on film, and she lived to see On The Road before she died.
