Remake.

Please remake "The Last Express" in 3D. Built on the realmyst engine or some good 3D engines like Unreal 3.

reply

That would be cool, but then the game couldn't use rotoscoped actors for characters.

reply

I don't really agree... 3-D is no longer a fascinating premise. It's ruined such projects as Spy Kids: Game Over and Sharkboy and Lavagirl (although that can also be blamed on the demented mind of Robert Rodiguez and the awfulness of the films to begin with).

The Last Express needs only three things. A reissue. A sequel set on a plane or boat. And for god's sake, a movie.

I meant remake it as a 3D game like those First Person or Third Person games.

Yeah! A sequel to the last express built on the Unreal 3 engine. In first person mode.

A plane would be a bad idea. Small space with limited interactivity.

A sequal or a similar type of game Set on Ship. A very big ship. A luxury liner. Pleanty of interactivity. First class to Sterage (or something). A trans atlantic ship from somewhere in Europe to North America in the 1910's. The whole action takes place on the ocean.

What the hell is wrong with the original edition. It's charm is that is entirely rotoscoped and it's story is already perfect.
Why fix something that isn't broken. This game was way ahead of its time when it came out and to bring it up to date will only lessen its quality.

reply

Agreed. But a remake with todays graphics and others would be cool. Or a sequel set in a Ship. A Luxury liner.

Am I the only one who remembers the ending clearly? Probably, cause I just finished it. Robert was going to Jerusalem to see about a manuscript and Kronos tells him to ask about the 13th Tribe (I thought the 13th tribe were the mormons).
But, you'd need to keep the feel of it, yeah. I reckon, a boat from Constantinople to Jerusalem, in the immediate days before the war. I have this feeling it started in August, i can't remember.

Does anyone know exactly what Cath was looking for in Jerusalem? On the official game page, it says "the trail of a long-lost manuscript leads him to Ireland, where he gets caught in the crossfire of a police raid on an IRA safe house." I'm guessing he was following this manuscript across Europe?

And what was Anna's description of his ring? What did the 13th tribe have to do with it?
